Ozzfest for Free
Ozzy Osbourne’s 2007 Ozzfest tour will be a literal free-for-all - tickets will be given away. The rocker’s manager-wife Sharon has struck a deal with a consortium of sponsors who will cover the costs of the summer trek, allowing rock fans to see the show for free.
She says: “Everybody has been so good to us over the years, and year after year ticket prices get higher and higher and higher.
“We just thought we can’t keep on raising ticket prices because there is not that much money out there anymore. Hey, kids can go online and download music, why not go to a show for free too? What the heck?”

If we download music for free and get sued, will we be sued for going to this for free?

I agree with Choda! A weekend at Ozzfest sounds like the worst form of torture! Fair play to them though.

no way, id say it would be a laugh. cool bands often play a ozzfest. because the bands themselves dont get paid, it might mean some genuine bands playing, like nine inch nails. bands that dont give a fuck about money, and only care about music. its all pretty interesting. ozzy in a coke bottle. i can see trent reznor jumping in, he hates money, despite the fact he’d have to play to an enron or google backdrop! cant wait to c those sponsors though.

And still we move closer to a world where everything is free and ad-supported, to the point that there is nothing left to advertise but advertising companies and the free goods/services, money becomes useless, and everyone lives happily ever after.
