China space missile test criticised

jp @ 1:06 pm
The United States and Japan have criticised China’s anti-satellite weapons test in which an old weather satellite was destroyed.

The test, first reported by Aviation Week, destroyed the satellite with a ballistic missile on January 11th.

Analysts said China’s weather satellites would travel at about the same altitude as US spy satellites, so the test represented an indirect threat to US defence systems.

  3. interesting thing is satellite virals to wipe out the internet.
thats what i’m doing at the mo. i send an email, it bounces around the orbiting metal things, and convinces them to go to a planet worth circulating. this one is just daft, full of people like me not helping the needy. i’m gonna do the Io spam, itself a satellite planet! it will be just like going back to their roots
