Woman dies tryin to win a Wii
A mother of three died from water intoxication after a radio station drinking competition, a California coroner said on Saturday. Jennifer Strange, 28, competed in Sacramento station KDND 107.9’s “Hold Your Wee for a Wii” contest to try to win Nintendo’s console for her children.
Contestants were handed half-pint bottles of water to drink every 15 minutes for the first hour, and then larger bottles to up the ante.
No need to point out the tragic irony.
Another great idea from America… more at The Register

Yay, Lara Croft in Ireland!
Feshti's back and this time he's counting down the top 10 movie opening scenes of all time.
Is American opinion and culture crowding out all others?
Holy crap. I never knew that drinking lots of water could kill you by any other way than drowning!

Well its the toxins that you’re body is holding in from all the water that I think does the damage. Either way, it was pretty irresponsible of the station to hold such a competition. I’m sure the compensation will be huge for this blunder.

people blame E for killing people, usually its the excessive water intake. which of course, the clubs exploited to the full by charging for water.

Did someone else actually get it? They could have at least given it to her kids.
