Big Brother’s Golden Ticket breached competition rules

The Big Brother draw to select a new housemate breached prize promotion rules, the industry watchdog said today.
Nestle, Channel 4 and Endemol failed to have an independent observer present when a winning number was picked, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) found.
Its investigation followed complaints from 11 viewers about the way model Susie Verrico won her place in the house.

The biller hit to the Big Brother show is yet to come. the premium rate number regulator may be looking for their pound of flesh after evicted housemates were re-introduced into the series after people paid to vote them our. the regulator ICSTIS received over 2700 complaints about this.
Could prove costly for the two phone companies who operate the text and phone televoting numbers for Big Brother.
