Well said Greg.

I'm not sure what Steorn is up to here, i'm not ready to believe them just yet however I hate closed minds. I hate people who dismiss something just because it may contradict some physics law. The laws could be wrong, and should always be challenged. It's that what science is all about, pushing the boundaries?

p.s. most scientists will probably dismiss Steorns claims right away but considering most published science papers are actually wrong I have little faith in what most scientists say anyway.

They HAVE let the scientific community look at it and what they call an energy "anomaly" (net gain in energy resulted). No scientist is going to call it a net gain in energy until he knows his peers will follow suit, because scientists are sheep like the rest of the sheeple.

I realise that there are charletans out there of course but let's not set science up as a religion. It is quite possible that the second law of thermodynamics is wrong. Newton was not God. Nor are the scientists that came after him.

The forums have a few people presenting credible (albeit unconventional) theories and then schoolboy bickering and commentary which doesn't in any way counter those ideas but just name calls. They really need to be moderated so that some real debate can take place.

It shows that for all the self-believed sophistication of 21st century man he is not a great deal different than his medieval peasant ancestor that wanted a woman burnt as a witch because she had a wart on her nose.

We now just burn people with stupid posts and written noise.

Moreover most posters on those forums couldn't even pass O'level Physics, let alone A-level or Degree, so they are clearly not even qualified to comment. But they are so poorly mannered and uncultured that they feel that their right of "free speech" superseeds their duty to say something useful.

Free speech is the right word for their comment have NO VALUE!

[...] In reporting the story TCAL link to the patent filed and a company video on the technology; they also point out a similar claim from 2002 which also originated in Ireland. And finally Colm Smyth of S’Mythology, who describes the claim as “probably the most unbelievable yet fascinating claims made this century” is excited but is certainly not holding his breath; “while we wait and on a more realistic note, I’ll look into buying solar panels while Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) offers tax incentives; although Ireland is better located for wind and wave energy, the sun shines enough here to deliver about 60% of a home’s heating needs”.
That patent is only for a part of their device. You can't patent "free energy" machines, so they had to patent each part separately.

Here's a forum post about it:

When are they going to let the scientists have a look at it?

ahhh what a lovely video, apart from the wee spinning magnet things I'm still none the wiser as to how it works,

did that marketing guy talk about going to "gas stations" what the fuck are they, I think they are still petrol stations in Ireland, it's like when Bill Clinton gave a speech in Belfast and says " when you go to your local store..."

I loved these guys, of course you *could* try and convince the scientific community by like proving theories and stuff but like, that might take ages!

plus they've used a Shaw quote so they must be smart and that....mind-boggling indeed
