danger @ 5:29 pm

Definately the best warning I’ve ever seen for a) protecting your private property b) being careful with anything on ebay and c) not being a cunt. The Broken Laptop I Sold on Ebay. Thanks Twenty.

  1. Brilliant. This is all over the web now, from b3ta to metafilter to digg. The counter on that page is just flying up.

Great to see an ebay fraudster get what’s coming to him.

  2. I stopped by this last night, its mad. and the statcounter wasn’t workng because of the amount of visitors.

I got a little way down the comments before giving up reading due to the sheer amount and in those minutes another 10 or so comments were logged.

The comments from the previous owner of the lap top are classic.

  3. hahaha, his hit counter is now approaching half a million. Last time I looked it was ~85,000. He took down the comments page after several hundred comments, most of them calling Amir a cunt :)

  5. Well deserved, for not being honest. I noticed that the seller had no comments/history at all on eBay. I bought my laptop from ebay from a reputable seller who had lots of positive comments. If buying off someone with no history I would personally pick it up and test it before handing over the money.
Still the seller is an Ahole for misrepresenting the item, not sending it promptly etc.

  8. He’s a fucking fraudster and he deserves what he’s getting. You think its ok to rip people off?
He could have avoided the whole situation by giving the money back, but he didn’t.

  9. Poor guy my arse, while part of me feels this is a witch hunt, he had the opportunity to put it right and didn’t. Besides which Lisa would you feel the same if he was taking sly camera phone pictures of your legs on the bus (90 of them). I’m quite sure the vast majority of those women who were photographed would be quite happy with how he has shamed himself.
