A few years ago the Irish Tourism Board were up in arms over the “dangers and annoyances” section of lonely planet ,where they warned of “racist attacks”……again, just another dissapointing truth. This is at loggerheads with the way that tourism is pedled to unsuspecting americans (and the like) that expect quaint towns, populated with simple people, wrapped in old sack-cloths who ride around on donkeys talking about “da little paypol”.

lonely planet quite rightly described Bray as ‘a run down dormitory town’ a few years ago. I think their opinions are bang on, although they were being far too nice about Bray

Lonely planet is simply telling like it is. Bundoran has simply been ruined by overdevelopment. Deal with it lads, preferably by not granting any more planning permission for muck developments.

unless they realise that the ONLY reason to go there is to surf (at the right time) then Bundoran council should realise Bundoran is a stinkin shitefest. Show off your best side, and stop being like a REALLY CHEAP BLACKPOOL
