Ning
Waxy mentioned this Ning thing this morning. He said:
24 Hour Laundry’s stealthy startup is an oddball social software playground; like Second Life for web apps, this is mind blowing geek cool)
I’m still trying to work it out. The Basics page says:
Ning is a free online service (or, as we like to call it, a Playground) for building social apps - web apps that enable anyone to match, transact, and communicate with other people. With Ning, you can build and use social apps for just about anything.
So far it looks like it’ll be the spawn of 5.5 billion hot or not clones. But that’s just cynical: it should throw up the odd interesting idea. Ning development documentation. Is this a Web 2.0 app with a serif font logo? It’ll never fly, only google may do that.
