It was this day last year that TCAL returned to the airwaves. Since then we’ve changed the way it’s looked once or twice. (Have a look at a screeny of the old one here.) And we’re hard at work on upgrading the site once again. I wish I could tell you all the exciting things that we’re doing behind the scenes, but I can’t.

One super secret I will let out is that the image above features our newly revised fully gradient-erised logo, which you’ll see more of once our full site redesign goes live within the next few weeks. TCAL has and hopefully will remain to be about whatever we find interesting or cool, and don’t forget that if you see stuff and find it worth looking at, then you can become a member of our happy band of posters and post about it yourself.

For fun, we’re investigating forms of guerilla advertising to get the site into the hands of more Irish people, and will be trying a few initiatives to give us a more Irish flavour (as well as possibly slightly more opinions and original content) while still maintaining our daily mountain of the usual crap. What we want to avoid is a real sense of purpose or direction, because we want to mirror the incongruity of life. And use the word incongruity at least once a year.
