The JCB Song. The band is called Nizlopi. Fantastic animation. These guys did it. Cool song. JCBs rule. It’s Friday. Fucking Rainbows.

Well I have to say that I absolutely loved this.
It’s so cute and bought back so many happy memories for me of my childhood and being taken to work by my dad that I had shed a few tears by the end.
Absolutely fantastic.
Comment by Andy — August 28, 2005 @ 3:45 am
Oh one other thing it’s also the best work of flash animation I have ever seen in my whole life and Im a flash programmer.

My little 3 year old and I just watched the video to this and I remember being as small as him and looking up at my Dad and thinking how cool he was, I only hope my little Man is thinking the same. My Dad used to give me the Day off of School and take me to work with him and this has brought back memories. This is the smartest thing I’ve heard in a long time, Coz it’s different and Original and it is not Cheesey! I hope it gets to number 1, but I hope the Radio stations don’t Kill it, as it is an instant classic and is sure to be a big hit with Lads and Dads across the Land. Gonna buy the CD tomorrow!
Comment by Nick & Josh — November 14, 2005 @ 11:40 pm
im not sure how this’ll come out but its a bit of the tab for the jcb song, as soon as i heard it i just had to play it,

i heard song first, by end had tears in my eyes, but probably a bit pre menstrual, or just a difficult week. loved the rawness of it. then daughter showed me video on nickleodeon, not sure which is better, but at moment think both is fab, deserves huge respect, will definately buy, hope that i’m not sick of it by xmas, once everyone is playing it. but it deserves to do well as is brilliant.

The fact that this *incredibly old song* has now been packaged as a meme is like someone wrapping different dead pigeons in different pictures of Steve Martin and then leaving one of the results on someone else’s doorstep every day for a whole year.
If you want to fail your species with your musical selection, try to at least conceal your total ignorance by making it contemporaneously.

Brilliant song and even more brilliant video - you really need to watch the two together. Brings a lump to the throat without being cheesy. Got to be the most refreshing thing in the history of most refreshing things.
ps Anybody got a clue what the hell ‘consequences’ is talking about, or what substance he’s on?

Comment by gareth — December 14, 2005 @ 11:52 pm
Can’t believe it’s having this fucking amazing effect. I start welling up every time I hear it. It seems to push a button deep inside every bloke of a certain age with kids, especially boys. My son’s almost 5 at the moment and I’m his total and utter hero at the moment. One day he’ll think I’m a loser but there you go. Great song. Xmas No.1.
Now pass me a tissue.

Me again! If you must know I’m only 9(10 in January) so I’d apprieciate it if people wouldn’t swear so much. There’s a boy in my class who loves this song he’s called Ben but everyone calls him Benny wenny or Benjamin. Anyone want to know how to spell that long word from mary poppins?
If so, here it is.

Comment by Tina — December 23, 2005 @ 11:08 am
Fantastic Song - what chart music should be all about, basic family values. We should go and buy the cd by the bucketload! Deserves to be Xmas number one far more than the winner of yet another soddin TV programme. Brilliant video! My two sons aged 10 & 8 LOVE it! They sing louder than the tv when its on any of the music channels!!! It definitely IS a song that can appeal to ALL ages, but I think it means a lot more when you hear children singing along to it. We love it! We love it! We love it!

The JCB song is evocative of everyone’s childhood, where your Dad is a hero, even though he’s probably just a guy. I think its wonderful.
The chords are Cadd9; G; Fmaj7 and Gsus4 but the apo should be on the third fret to tune with the record.
Comment by joe — January 20, 2006 @ 11:47 pm
