Boards international sites
The posters on TCAL.NET have been using boards.ie for a good while…but this caught me by surprise. Boards.jp and Boards.us. - Boards.jp looks like its going strong and Boards.us just launched on the 3rd November. It’s impressive, though personally I can’t stand the front pages ‘branding’, the style of the buttons etc. does my head in. But it’s a great thing to see boards expanding like this. Here’s a link to John Breslin’s blog (one of the boards admins) where he talks about the expansion.

  1. Hi Dave and other TCAL members -

Thanks for the pingback to my blog, and also for the support at boards.ie.

Sorry that the boards front-page branding isn’t to your liking (I think that you’re probably not alone in this); unfortunately I am an electronic engineer by training, not a graphics designer, but I do like to dabble. It’s probable that boards.ie will change branding sometime in the near future, as our Art / Design moderator Figment has been sprouting designs like stubble this past year, and I am only part-owner after all. boards.jp and boards.us will probably remain as is.

You may like the “Old School” option at boards.ie though:

I like the TCAL logo :)

    All the best,

    John.
